Soccer Programs

Academica F.C. offers four different soccer programs for levels of play and ages. Each program is a feeder to the next program. Below is information regarding each program.

AFC Academy
Youth Developmental Academy

Objective:

AFC's Youth Developmental Academy introduces players from the age's 8-10 years old to an academy tailored towards individual's footskills. Players will participate in a 6-week program that will emphasize on the players ability to control the ball, implement moves, develop foot speed and skills. The academy will offer an instructor for every 10 registered players.

AFC Juniors
Premier Development Program

Objective:

To create a premier developmental academy which is tailored to specific age groups. The program will identify players with the potential of becoming premier soccer players and provide them with high-level training and professional coaching.

Players are eligible to participate in both the AFC Juniors Program and their current travel program at the U10, U11, U12 age group teams. Players selected for the U12 age group teams must committ to AFC and all its events, as it is an important year of preparation for the upcoming premier season at the U13 age level.

The Developmental Program will serve as a stepping-stone in preparing players for the AFC Premier Program.

AFC
Premier Program

Objective:

Our Premier program is dedicated to providing professional quality instruction. Our club goal at this level is to be one of the best, if not, the best Futebol Club in Connecticut. An established coach will head each team in order to continue the process of player development. The Futebol Club and its staff are dedicated to maximizing the potential of each individual player. We are strongly focused on developing players within the team concept, in preparation of excelling at the High School, College and Professional levels.

Our premier program consists of coaches that have or are currently coaching at the High School, College and Professional Levels.

Academica FC Professional Indoor Soccer Team

Connecticut Academica F.C. Professional Indoor Soccer team competes in the Premier Arena Soccer League (P.A.S.L.). The Professional Team is based out of The Sports Domain in Winsted, CT. The team trains and plays their home matches out of the air-structured facility throughout their PASL Seasons.
