On September 25, 2002, The Collegiate Soccer System announced that it had launched
a partnership with the Sports Domain in Winsted, CT to become the exclusive directors of
soccer operations.
Under the partnership, the Collegiate Soccer System will handle all
facets of soccer operations including: leagues, clinics, field rentals, tournaments,
fitness training and camps.
Tony Horta, owner/president of the Collegiate Soccer System
called the partnership "a great chance to spread the Collegiate Soccer School philosophy
to a region of Connecticut that has a tremendous upside for growth in the game of soccer".
The Sports Domain located in Winsted, CT features:
- New state-of-the-art all season
- permanent air-structure dome, 225ft X 215ft
- 2 regulation size indoor fields, each 180ft X 90 ft
- Professional Astroplay turf
- No dasher boards for added safety
- Suitable for a variety of sports including: soccer, lacrosse, baseball practice,
softball practice, field hockey, golf driving
- Club house opening summer 2002 will provide rooms for meetings, teaching, parties,
plus weight training, video games, vending, and retail store.
Collegiate Soccer System Managing Partner/Director Chris LeGates said

help develop soccer players of all ages and abilities".
The Collegiate Soccer System is a consortium of soccer coaches, administrators and other personnel who primarily focus
on soccer player development from the youth player to the high school athlete to the
professional ranks. In 2002, the Collegiate Soccer System provided camps, clinics and
training to over 500 students in Connecticut.
